Got Some Tunes [July]

I said I wasn't going to write anymore of these but it felt wrong creating the playlist without something to go with it so I'm just gonna write a few words about each track.

Giggs: Blow em away
Shola Ama on this puts a much more commercial spin on Giggs' usual work. This has the potential to be massive.

M.I.A.: XXXO (Jay-Z remix)
Such a tune.

Plan B: Prayin (Breakage remix)
Better than the original.

Swedish House Mafia: One (ft. Pharrell Williams)
The original speaks for itself but Pharrell's vocals just add that extra touch.

Hadouken!: House is falling
Best track from the "For the masses" album, so glad they decided to release it as a single.

Young Guns: Crystal clear
In my opinion all Young Guns songs are starting to sound pretty similar but I guess the final verdict can be made when they release their debut album on July 19th.

Futures: Sal paradise
I don't have anything to say about this really but if I hadn't written anything it would have looked odd.

Midgar: Lead your children to the sky (ft. Steve Sitkowski)
This caught me by surprise that they'd got the Outcry Collective vocalist Steve Sitkowski to do the verses on this song and Midgar were left to to the chorus but it works really well. I felt bad after hearing this that I've never really given Midgar the credit I now believe they deserve.

Asher Roth: G.R.I.N.D.
Asher Roth is back and this song is a tune. I doubt it will blow up like "I love college" but I like it.

Lower Than Atlantis: Far Q
In my opinion Lower Than Atlantis can do no wrong and I'm glad they are getting so much attention at the moment especially on radio 1, they deserve it.

Mystery Jets: Dreaming of another world
The first Mystery Jets song I've liked in a while despite how it sounds like everything else they've ever written.
